I'm Pussified. When I was younger, I used to watch those faces of death films with no problem. Later when I got into FX, I found out some of those scenes in those videos were faked. I actually met the people that did them and saw the fx myself in some of the shops.

But now for what ever reason snuff footage makes me cringe, and what's even worse puking, and scat films make me almost gag just by saying it outloud.

Even as I write this I'm fighting the gag reflex. How could anybody get turned on by this shit? (no pun intended)

Pictures of the dead used to be no problem...untill I saw several in real life.

A couple of years ago a came across a horrible car accident on the freeway. A van had overturned throwing out several passengers in the way of traffic. It was absolutley terrible. By the time I got there, traffic had slowed down to about 10 MPH. I vividly remember seeing various pieces of body parts. One piece was a complete section of leg...torn off at the hip. It was so weird..the shoe was still on it!. There was blood everywhere, smeared all over the road. The hardest part, was trying not to look as I passed a small child about the age of 4. His head was turned as if he was looking at me as I passed. Half of him was smeared into the pavment.

Now when I see pics of bodies...It brings back horrible memories. I just cant take it anymore.

Hey... I ride a motorcycle for part of the year and let me assure you that pics of that nature are NOT funny. They serve as bitter reminders of how dangerous the pasttime can be. I'm not giving it up, though. No way.

As for WHY it is so dangerous, let me say that although there are many maniacal riders out there, the fact remains that the majority of biker accidents are caused by oblivious people driving cars, vans (minivans especially... grrrr...), trucks, etc.

Oh, and why do I pick on minivan drivers? Because I seem to almost get taken out by one at LEAST once a month during riding season.

Moral of the story: If you're riding, don't be a dickhead. If you're driving, be aware that bikers are out there, too, and don't be a dickhead.

I been riding bikes (all year round) for over 11 years now, and i have seen all sorts of fucked up body parts from crashes. I have also served in the forces and done field emergency first aid training. That guy has been shot from behind as no body part/road surface contact gives results like that. The pic was from rotten.com and although it points out that the guy was a biker, he was probably shot by a rival bike gang. They had quite a few pics of an rival bike gang massacre a while back.
