Are your bookmarks a nightmare

can you find anything in your bookmarks dose it takes forever to find that site you bookmarked last week.

I create a folder for each category of bookmarks. My categories are:

TGPs
Jobs
Resources
Web Hosts
Revenue Programs
Personal Bookmarks

I delete all the worthless bookmarks that come with Netscape. My IE bookmarks look about the same.

Yes Take all your boomarks and make a seperate page for them, ex. html page
put in a seperate file called "MY SHIT"
then add a shortcut on your pc to it

i use Yahoo Companion and under BOOKMARKS, they go in alphabetical order so its easy to find...but I also dont bookmark alot of shit... :P

I hate the IE favorites organizer, it's a pain in the ass and it's too slow. Why did they stray from the normal windows explorer type organization. Stupid fuckers over at Microshit!

Storing bookmarks online is sort of like allowing spy cookies to stay on your system. lol There is no privacy from places like blink scanning their systems and tracking. We convert IE to Netscape every so often and store that file copied out to another directory

I use folders in netscape and an html page for all the repeateadely used ones. The idea of saving all interesting pages as HTML is a good one also, that way when you have time you don't have to go on the net but it's all right on your drive anyway.

I have all sorts of Folder in there but I still cant find shit I even started makeing little logos that go infront of them and rename them , I have 3 submit folders 1 no recipt 1 with recipt and 1 to check out when I have time LOL.

Ok, I'm going to bluntly spam here, but it was asked for. I had the same problem with my bookmarks. So I came up with linkshelf. The program puts your bookmarks in a database. You can easily organize everything. I'm working on adding contacts and an agenda. Right now linkshelf will only hold links. The page is at www.linkshelf.com and it's absolutely free.

Do you all really have that many bookmarks? I have a dozen or so bookmarks to my various site admin scripts, but other than that, I just remember them.
