Which Vodka is the best?

I saw that many of you likes Vodka, too.
Since my first stay in Moscow I am Vodka fan. I especially like Vodka from the Kristall company for drinking pure and Vodka Smirnoff or Vodka Gorbatschow (why all german Vodkas have name of famous russians like Gorbatschow, Pushkin, Rachmaninow, Jelzin etc.???) for mixing cocktails.
Which Vodka do you prefer???

Jelzin is pretty shitty...

Why do german vodkas have names of famous russians?

U are from germany, we think that we know that ALL russians drink voka all the time.

OK, I've regained my composure now. For drinking, well, the cheapest vodka I've ever had that did the trick was Crystal Palace. Wow! Cheap and potent. Heh-heh-heh... Sounds like some girls I used to date.

Yes the best Russian vodka is the Kristal factory vodka "Posolskaja"
but i like ukranian vodka Getman and SV it's really tasty drinks and after i drunk about 0.5L in the evening i wake up with really clean mind and wish to work!

I drink vodka and coke, call it the O'Toole.
A friend I went to school with goes crazy when he drinks rye and coke so he made the switch. Give it a try it's not too bad. Although I find diet coke helps the hangover a little.

This is a quite interesting discussian...

The main difference between 'western' (american, german, swedish) and 'eastern' Vodkas is the filtration. 'Western' companies have the much better filtration methods. That makes the Vodka so clear, that you do not really have any taste anymore. Like someone said above: You can drink the ratio Vodka:filler 98:2 easily.
'Eastern' Vodkas are a little more naturally and they have a much stronger own taste, what they make them for me better drinkable pure and cold.

But it's still a very interesting to find out, what's the best one. Let's make a contest. I invite everbody to join me for such a contest. Take your favorite vodka, come to Berlin and we'll test it!!!

Polish vodka is ok, but Absolute Absolutely Rocks, it is the purest according to me, I like it with cranberry juice or for all you europeans with blackcurrant juice. The smoothest shit this side of paradise
