How much do you tip for a Haircut?

EXACTLY, they are providing a you with a desired service.. You are tipping them to give you better than avarage service to give you up and beyond what you desirve..

Shit.. Im suprised at the cheap asses in our industry.. No wonder the girls at Cheetahs told me days after our internext convention party that the adult webmasters were cheap bastards.. What a shame. I couldnt believe it.. I thought the adult web people would do well at cheetahs.. But the dancers were stifffed pretty much from what I heard.. They could wait till the private party was over, so the normal people coul come back in.

I think it sucks that you are expected to tip people. Is this country we only tip at fancy restaurants, strip clubs and sometimes in taxi cabs, but thats it. No tips are expected of you here. The minimum wage is decent enough that you can get by without having to rely on tips.

I usually tip only 15% for haircuts -- damn I guess I'm cheap -- but I usually round up to the nearest dollar so it comes out to about 20% ;)

Last time I went, I went w/ a girlfriend to a nicer place -- got my first shampoo and shit -- it was nice -- damn the girl was hot and she's rubbing my head with shampoo -- then we're in front of the mirror and she starts massaging my head w/ this stuff and I ask her what that stuff does to my hair and she said it's just a scalp massage and it's supposed to feel good -- DOH!

Anyway I'm not much for small talk, but sometimes I get breasts on my shoulders or in my face -- it's nice especially when I can feel the warmth of her body and she's good with her hands... sounds lame, but sometimes these women get me hot -- kindof embarassing if she pulls up the apron... yes that's your tip -- a roll of quarters ;)

In reply to the post on barbers only getting minimum wage. Where I'm at a barber only gets minimum wage if he's an apprentice. After that he rents a chair from the owner of the shop. After he pays his rent for the chair around $75/week everything over is his profit. So he's making $16/hour He can pay his rent in a day or two.

RIP, that post was funny as hell. When I tip, it's primarily the haircut I judge... however I also tip based on the attitude of the girl who's cuttin my hair. If she's a complete bitch, I'll tip low (around $2). If she's riding my cock while she cuts my hair, I'll sign over my paycheck to her. Seriously though, if she listens to me and cuts my hair precisely the way I instruct I'll tip about $5. I hate going to Supercuts or Hotcuts or any of those cheap places cause I ALWAYS get girls that seem like they're suffering from chronic PMS... girls at the more expensive places are one hell of a lot nicer.

boneprone, i heard the same thing from strippers in New Orleans and in Miami durring the conventions and at cheetas. In Vegas at Cheetas we got our own booth and all the girls were tipped well by me

Including the security guard for kicking out like 20 people from a 5 person booth for us.

we even had the waitress order us some pizza in the club. hehe
In Miami at Solid Gold, JoeE brought us a big ass box of Italian food, and strippers went nuts, they've never seen food like that hehe.

Yeah after hearing that from the dancers there, I was almost ashamed to be with the adult webmaster crowd. I was shocked to hear that they were soo cheap.. I thought the people in our inductry would be forkin out more bucks than the avarage guys, I mean come on it was vegas, and we were there to party!! But it looks like most of the people at the convention were just looking for a free ride, and leach off others and get into the free parties.. Most of the fucks there werent tipping, the help, and just wanted what ever they could get for free, so much that people noticed.. What leaches.. If your gunna be like that, be a little more discrete.

haha, well it wasn't just an "american" thing in korea, the philippines, germany, france, amsterdam, saudi, turkey or italy....

tipping is the right thing to do...most companies pay dick...so tips make up for that.
