My name is Joe. Used to use Big Joe here on GFY back in the day.

Okay my webmaster brothers & sisters I know domains are essentially worth what someone is willing to pay for them. Much of it depends on what your business model is and plans are. Having "aged" domains created many years ago is helpful sure and these are old.

I got into the business in 96 before TGPs, when we had Pic Posts (picpost.com) not even thumbnail gallery posts, when we had to put entrance warning pages on every site and limit content to soft core pics and clips as not to risk our asses or upset sponsors whose privileged was to offer the real good stuff behind members areas pay walls.

When I started you could put up a banner to Integral or Xpic and earn 18cents a click. Making money was easy as falling out of bed in the morning and I/we thought it would last forever. I did well with AVS Age Verification Systems too like CyberAge (Hi Dave & Zari) which was a really cool concept. I made a decent living building and submitting sites to PK and GreenGuy and galleries to the Hun, Adult Buffet, Marks Bookmarks, Jasmines Tgps and others. And I did good promoting Evan & Michael's network of sponsors via Xpays and referring top affiliates to him over the years. (Xpays always pays!) (*Waves hi to poppa Ev*)

But that was then. And just as the adult industry has turned into something entirely new so have I. I'm focused on writing a book, web development, and main stream marketing efforts and though I miss the flying rubber boobs from the Internext massive shows of old in Vegas and New Orleans, I am putting my health and happiness above the endless pursuit of "joins", and porn deals, and selling off some of my properties in the mean time.
