They claim to have 3.2 million members

all paying $1 or more

Plus it seems to be increasing

So I guess you can see why they paid 1 billion

take it world wide (as i think they only sell in the usa)

and pump some r and d into things.

plus all the extras they can sell

then take it to the next level and do a female product

include the fact that axe/lynk is also a fun product and has fun adverts - so the brands are a happy mix

you can see why 1 billion may be a good investment

Note too that the dollar shave club claim not to have yet made a profit

I will check it out, but I read an article in the paper, it said something like their motto was "$1/month while bigger brands cost $20/month". I was - even no brand shaving supplies cost only 2-3 times less than brand names, where do they get 20 times? Surely I will check it out what they meant, I am just saying what an article claimed, sounds like BS to those who had no idea about this startup.
