There's a great documentary on Netflix called "I dream of wires" at the moment.

I'd say modular synthesisers could be addictive, I've already started to take the plunge and the rabbit hole goes very deep.

I've always loved the warm sound from the Oberheim OB-X synth from the 80s. Van Halen and Rush used it extensively back in the day.

The Oberheim SEM is a better sound IMHO.
