Hi Guys,

I am selling one of my adult related domains " slags.com ".

The slags domain was registered back in 1997, yet i only erected a site on the domain just over six months ago. The domain comes with a solid revenue stream attached which will continue to grow due to new members joining each month/rebills. I have full affiliate reports and analytical data covering just over six months from when the site first went live.

I have spent no money whatsoever on any form of advertising or seo, nor done any type of split testing etc (purely organic traffic) I simply set the site live and left it to generate an income - Feel free to speak to Kabs over at WLD as he can confirm how little i have done. I actually get regular calls / emails from kabs telling me of its potential, yet i don't have the time to focus on this sector.

The site receives a minimum of 350 unique visitors per day, some days 600+, and new members joining the site each month are 400+, and it generates over $1,000+

I do not actually operate within the adult industry, I'm merely a domain investor who acquires premium domain names, gets them generating a solid income for a minimum of six months, then goes hunting for a buyer within that sector who can take the business further.

The current site is a simple dating website, nothing fancy... no video streams, no picture galleries, just dating.

The site in it's current state "Dating" has generated £6,605.30 ($10,599.58) and continues to grow each month, this means we'll be on target for doing over $30K per year without any marketing spend or maintenance whatsoever.

Each month our signups keep increasing and memberships converting - In the UK the term "Slags" is heavily used daily when referring to dirty girls, and girls who sleep around, it's the exact equivalent of the term "Sluts" which is used in States

I don't know what multiples you guys work to when buying domains with revenue attached, but i'd be interested to know? This domain is being sold on a number of factors really e.g. The actual quality of the name, The descriptiveness (second to none in the UK), The length, The age - You then have revenue attached which change the dynamics as it then acts as a business and not just a dormant domain, so we then have two factors here... If the domain wasn't generating an income what value would you put on it? and now the domain is generating an income what is it worth? Also, what is the potential future value if other elements were added to the site which i currently don't have access too and so on...

So when looking at the value of domain alone, then adding a multiple of revenues currently being generated, $80k is a realistic figure imo, it's almost like you're getting the domain as a freebie, and even if someone worked to a 2yr Multiple that means you're only paying $20k for a killer adult keyword.

The potential earnings this name would have in the right hands would far outway anything I'm currently generating. I've only touched the tip of the iceberg with this domain as its not my industry sector, someone else may know of better ways to generate an income from the name e.g. web cam site with galleries etc

I totally agree and appreciate you pointing me in the direction of DatingSystems, however, I'm not really interested in developing this particular domain any further as it's not my forte unfortunately!

The Slags domain would best suit someone who operates within the adult industry, which is why i was testing the waters here.

It's no biggy if it doesnt sell as It's been sitting dormant since 1997. We will simply put it back in the pile whilst we work on other high profile domains within our portfolio.

We've had a couple of respectable email offers from GFY members so it wasn't a complete waste of time promoting it here, obviously the domain is geared more towards the UK market so i guess that's where we'll find our buyer in the future.

Your problem is you are talking about revenue. I'm no domain investor so I have no idea the value of the domain, but typically adult sites only sell for 4-8 months revenue. So by bringing up revenue you are actually devaluing your domain. At least here

Also your other problem is adult is pretty dead and google has really devalued EMD and adult sites in general
