#1. It's really sad and surprising to me to see people who live in beautiful places like the Southern US, suddenly lose it all because of a corporation. Their water is suddenly so poison that it burns right from the tap or the well, or the air is full of Methane, or nearby lakes have been pumped dry, all thanks to corporations and Hydraulic Fracturing.



#2. It's also sad and interesting that very few people seem to care or want to do anything about it.

#3. It's scary as hell. Dangerous practices using dangerous chemicals and methods are being made easier and easier to do by science-denying republican (and probably some democratic) lawmakers who see potential or real warnings about its dangers as nothing more than "Job killers".

Natural gas is a great energy source, but the "getting it out the ground" thing is the problem. Also, the emissions from processing and transporting it negate any positives from a clean burning fuel source.

It's just a pet cause for conservatives to look environmentally friendly -- while really not being that at all.

1. NC currently has a ban on fracking, this bill is part of hammering out the legislation that would regulate them to begin to allow fracking in the state.

2. The bill only makes the recipes unavailable for public inspection but would still be required:

the chemical companies would have been required to submit the information under seal to the state Department of Environment and Natural Resources

3. A bill is not a law, there is no outlawing of releasing info here. The NC senate has not signed the bill into law, as ********** claims.

4. ********** is lacking any fundamental understanding of fracking, or reality for that matter. I won't waste my time trying to sort that out.
