If you was just starting in adult, what site would you build?

Look a few years back, everybody was building TGPs, submitting galleries, there were the link lists for small free sites, people started doing blogs or babelogs .... so what is the trend today, everybody is building tubes only? That can't be the case, so what other high traffic site types are out there?

I would build a single niche blog and spend some quality time updating it. Having too many sites to manage has always been my problem and it affects the quality of my network.

I ask myself the same thing and the only answers I can come up with is either of these:

1. Blog network: Quality blogs, maybe a dozen, all converting niches, to drive traffic to my own paysites and other sponsers.
2. Gamble on a "new idea" and see if it attracts anything or anyone at all.

I know this may sound vague but I'd focus on building something with value. I would not even worry about traffic, seo or anything of that nature.

Other that that I would not waste my time in this industry. I'd get a specialized advanced degree and invest time in something that could proved a better return long term.

If you wanna waste your time, yeah build blogs, google has been hitting them hard. TGPs that host there own content, tube search sites and one main legit tube site that doesnt trade traffic or have any link exchange bullshit.

If the goal were purely traffic as you state I would target the emerging markets and trade my premium traffic for these other nations in order to continually multiply. I'm sure you will find no shortage of takers. You could become huge and dominate those markets in a very short time. But there won't be much profit there unless things change. In which case you would be filthy rich. It might not be a bad idea actually!

For what I bet you really meant (build traffic and eventually profit) I'm not sure. The problem is adult is dying for most and it's very volatile. Cams are the safest right now but being an affiliate is the furthest thing from safe. Dating is better than most paysites but that is also in the decline. I'd go with casual dating first before adult dating. The market is better and the opportunities are greater.

I would invest my time in coming up with a great idea and then implement it. Something radically different than what the other guys are doing. That's the only way to get ahead now but you're still hoping that the road continues on for a while as opposed to hitting a dead end where the profit margins continually decline (the story of porn atm) even if you have some success.

Create several sites, but make one your baby and shower it with updates several times a day. Own the niche it is in.

So if I ignore the bs answers, there are some that make sense, which leads me to a plan like this :

TGPs with own galleries
Fake + real tubes
babelogs
some blogs + FB fan pages + other hub sites

all incorporated into a large network with one main brand site that they would partially push, plus some income from sales sold across the network + $ from brokers (ads+pops)

Sounds like plan, what do you think?

I work with a ton of clients and see what works, and what doesn't work overtime.

Right now, tubes are doing well and getting the much needed google love after all these penguins. Of course I am talking about handwritten titles on these tubes.

any of your clients work in the review site area? I have noticed they work just aswell as tube sites in means of generating google traffic for site specific names. With site specific names you are getting a higher quality traffic imo.

We don't write that many reviews anymore, it seems review sites for the most part aren't doing as good as a few years ago and prior.

Most people seem to want streaming "free" porn - thus they look for tubes right off the bat.
