    I just found this twitter account that is retweeting people who actually took a picture of their credit card and put it on twitter/instagram publicly..

                                          Many people have no idea that masking the first four or six digits of the card does little to help security since it's often still easily derived. The same for the people masking two digits towards the end. They don't realize that there are checksums which might help someone to narrow it down.
