Go to wiki, copy and paste the Chinese character 基 in there, then you will see a huge variety of meanings which “gay” is just one part of the meaning. Like “基金” which actually refer to funds, 基 also refer to base in Chinese/Japanese. This idn domain work for Chinese, Japanese and Korean with respect to different types of meanings.
