Good luck with that. I would say those days are over. If someone had something that was 99% I would spend a lot of money on it. Currently I can't seem to surpass a 40% popup rate.

Live jaz is the best one but works about 30something% of the time, maybe a little more.

None of the sample ones from you see will work these days. I had to get my own written, the javascript required was beyond me. It works for most cases for most browsers, but not all and I'm sure it will get worse as browsers advance. It is an ongoing battle.

As to does it work financially - maybe; depends what you are popping...

What would 99% include? I have a popunder that works in ff, ie, safari, chrome, iphone, etc..

And the traffic to it nearly matches the amount of unique visits to the site that pops it..

Edit: also a lot of people saying "pop under" and "pop up", which are two very different things.

hte best way to make a popunder script that will work is dont do it automatically.
if the popunder happens as part of a user action, lots of the browsers do not block that.
like put in teh body tag onclick=popunder and for the most part it will work.

i always advise on finding other methods of marketing besides this popunder stuff from the 90's in the same way you wouldnt want doctors selling you cigarettes anymore. there are many other better ways to get that information to your users
