Kindle 3G Wireless. Is this a good product?

I'm looking to buy a Kindle, but with it being my first one I really have no idea which ones are good and what's a good price. Is this a good product, and a good price?

It basically depends where you want to get your books from...
If you want to buy them off amazon, then yeah, it's great..
If you'd rather download them from a library, or another book seller, then something like the Sony (more expensive but better made) or the Nook might be a better choice since they support epub format..
(The older Nook has a firmware update that makes it was fast as the new kindle, with text quality *almost* as good)
I have both a kindle and a nook - love them both....
You can also use a program like Calibre to convert drm-free books between formats...

I bought one for my wife.

3G is way more than enough to get whatever you need quickly in kindle format.

Me too. I've had mine for more than a year and it is great. I bought it when it was most expensive, so it's an even better deal for people now. I think Amazon is going to win this one, at least for e-readers.
