Interesting copy and paste trick

Then copy a few lines from the story and paste it in a notepad, notice what it adds to the bottom

Figured id post it just in case someone can make use of this technique for their blog etc (an idea would be to auto add unique text so you can later search google to find all copy and pasters of your goods, if its a large thing they are copying they wont notice)

it's pretty old, I've seen it in several VB forums, so I assume it comes as a plugin or something, but I'm 99% sure it depends on your browser and/or plugins/extensions, not everybody will get that functionality working

I correct myself: I've seen it in sites using phpBB, not VBulletinn

Kind of like an invisible footer. Similar to autofooter used by blogs to discourage feed jackers. Done via javascript, maybe?

looks like it requires javascript enabled, takes over the copy/control+C functions, takes what you copied, attaches the footer, and then sends it to your clipboard
