To Follow or not to Follow

Should a new adult site set all external links to no follow?

B.Barnato 11-20-2010 03:16 AM

why is this advantage?

except specifically for links that you are wanting to pass linkjuice, such as in a trade or to your own sites, all your sites should use nofollow on all external links, why just new sites?

Im curious as to whether google would view a new site differently, i.e. maybe a new site go through stages of developement and look more authentic and new as apposed to ultra professional out the box. Just was wondering had anyone ever thought about it.

And by being completely open your telling google im new here and im sharing with everyone...or am i just crazy and need to take a nap today :)

Do you think a site with all no-followed links looks natural to Google?

Agent 488 11-21-2010 03:00 PM

if you want to be blacklisted from all your link trade partners sure.

you mean like wikipedia does it?

I think the "all" concept is a bit extreme though in the original question

it should be "most" external links no-followed, there is no good reason not to nofollow sponsor links, cut down on your followed outlinks, better just to have your trade partners as follow

bns666 11-21-2010 06:24 PM

sponsor links: nofollow
traffic trades: nofollow
hard link trades: dofollow
your other sites: dofollow with trading in A-B-C-D manner
