Just got a clickcash sale from a campaign/page that went offline about 4-5 years ago. You never know when they will come back. It's nice when a company gives you credit even when it is years later. Apparently he must have had my cookie on his pc all this time and he came back directly through ifriends.

5 years of cookies must be a huge amount.

thats pretty crazy. as far as i know, there has to be an expiration of the cookie, but that could be 99 years

I sold out in 2007 but I still got random signups from my 2001-2003 campaigns at a regular clip. It's hilarious, the one sponsor everyone claimed was a cheater was the one that never shaved and had lifetime cookies. :2 cents:

You know I had something like that happen a few months ago when much to my surprise, I received a check from a mainstream network for over $800.00 USD. I hadn't promoted that network for over two years and still can't figure it out but I cashed the check.

Most people don't know how to promote SHIT which is why they sling millions of hits to their pages to make a few thousand per month. This is true times 500 for webcam sites.

I don't really care what you call, I own a total of zero of the websites I had from 2001-2007 so no screenshots possible. I talked about my ratios and stuff here all the time and several here used my pages / promo to increase their own ratios. I never sat around slinging piles of traffic willy nilly and promoted cams a lot smarter than most around here. I've seen Will's pages and while I don't know all of his traffic sources I would wager he had some pretty damn good ratios in that time as well.

Let's just say I revolutionized cam promotions when I started promoting clickcash in 2001. It worked, I stuck with it, I haven't really seen anyone do similar since. :winkwink:

:1orglaugh I guess I am extremely lucky then as I've had over 150,000 sign ups to clickcash over the years, most of them happen the same day the cookie is set though, not 4-5 years later. Which is why I made this thread.

just went to ifriends to checkout how lifetime cookies are done, i found one called "_utma" that was set to expire in 2 years, thats the longest one i found. I didn't get there by any ref link so maybe i'm not getting those "lifetime" ones set in my browser

I have to admit that I have never sat down and figured out how to monetize cam sites. I know there has to be a more productive way than just putting banners up on existing sites.

I've been paid EVERY WEEK for the last 10 YEARS ON TIME. That is over 500 consecutive payments without missing one. They have sent me Millions of dollars in payments. WTF do you mean "will I get paid"?????

Was it revshare? I don't think it is too uncommon for you to get sales years later from revshare. This wasn't a customer who signed up 4 years ago and came back yesterday and bought more time. This was someone who clicked my link 4-5 years ago and came back yesterday and joined ifriends for the first time and he had to join directly through ifriends and not another affiliate or my cookie would have been over written.
