Obama-Clinton vs Palin-Cantor in 2012

Yes, Joe and Hillary will switch jobs. That's a given. Then Hillary in 2016.

That's my prediction. :pimp

Slutboat 11-19-2010 05:35 AM

good guess - but don't discount that crazy puppet Romney

jerryb 11-19-2010 05:45 AM

I think Barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi.

:1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Quagmire 11-19-2010 05:46 AM

revolution isn't in the cards? dang...

Michael O 11-19-2010 05:52 AM

Then it would likely be 4 more years of Obama or 4 years either laughing our asses off or being scarred on a day to day basis depending on what Palin comes up with.

seeandsee 11-19-2010 06:02 AM

Obama is done, somebody new will take off

Wizzo 11-19-2010 08:04 AM

Its still a ways out, but if the economy continues to improve Obama will do another 4years beating Palin, if its still in the gutter Newt Gingrich will battle it out with Romney for the GOP nod and take the Whitehouse... :pimp

CaptainHowdy 11-19-2010 08:08 AM

Unfortunately the republicans will win that one...

WebairGerard 11-19-2010 08:14 AM

that will be a fun election for sure with big time personalities on both sides

marketsmart 11-19-2010 08:19 AM

i cant believe that palin is even considered a viable candidate..

just goes to show you how fucked up this country is..

you people think obama is a puppet, elect palin and see what happens...

romney on the other hand is as slimy as they come..

charlie crist would have been a good candidate if the republicans hadnt run him off...

Yeah, I like Crist as well but think he's too moderate to ever get the party vote, but would crush in the general election...:(

Relentless 11-19-2010 08:25 AM

The republicans will have a non-politician business tycoon in their primary. Someone with a lot of money and a track-record of doing well 'even in the terrible Obama economy' etc... That person will be a real viable candidate in a general election. They will also have a loony-toon candidate like Palin or the witch from Carolina or someone else who can't find Europe on a map. That person will get a lot of support in the primary but has zero chance of winning a national election.

If the serious candidate wins the primary and the economy is soft Obama loses. If the loony-toon candidate wins the primary OR if the economy is strong, Obama gets reelected.

Unemployment over/under 6.5% is the number to watch. :2 cents:

I think there are other much more qualified women....they were just trying to cause confusion with Palin

fatfoo 11-19-2010 09:10 AM

Palin wants to be first female President on USA.
It is unclear whether it will happen.

MovieMaster 11-19-2010 09:25 AM

I still don't get how people can say palin isnt qualified and barack was ?

Gov of a state
vs
Junior Senator who for the most part just abstained from voting.

If your honest about it, its at the very least a wash.

I don't really thing she is. The GOP still views her as a huge contributing factor to McCain's loss. People love to throw her name around in the press because of the media attention she gets, but alot of her ratings draw is also from people who loathe her as well. In the end very few people are really going to vote for an idiot who has to write bullet points to remind herself what she stands for on her hand. :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

It's probably not a hugely known national fact, but it's pretty well known locally in certain circles that Crist is gay.

McCain was eying him for VP and Crist got engaged to a woman to try and silence the rumors but on the national stage it would come out and destroy him.

Good to see you're with Paxum. :thumbsup

cykoe6 11-19-2010 10:04 AM

There is no way that Palin will be the Republican candidate.

Tom_PM 11-19-2010 10:08 AM

I predict Obama-Biden 2012. Someone who is crazy-right, like Haley Barbour or Newt on the right.

I mean hell, by todays standards of right wing, someone like Romney is practically a flaming liberal.

History shows it should be quite strong for the incumbent president though. I think they'll win handily and before they do, people will regret putting the party of no in charge of the congress.

Vendzilla 11-19-2010 10:10 AM

I think over the next year, things are going to change, A LOT. I would accept Palin as a VP, but not higher. She's got a huge fan base and has charisma with those people. Mitt Romney, never cared for him.

I think this is why the republicans will have a hard time in 2012. You have people who like business savvy people like Romney who would actually stand a chance in the general and then you have pariahs like Palin who are very popular in certain circles but has an unfavorable rating among the general populace that is something akin to Genghis Khan.

Unless conservatives realize that putting lightning rods like Palin is not a good idea for the general election they will be looking at another 4 years of democrats in the whitehouse.

Imho Romney is your only hope but he is a Mormon and left his dog strapped to the hood of his car for a few hours while he was driving so I think his nomination isn't gonna happen.

That's why I said that I think Palin should be the VP on the ticket. I don't think the GOP candidate has revealed them self yet.
Palin would be a good choice for VP because of basic popularity, she got hammered by the liberals on everything from her country analogies to what she is wearing and is still there, people like that. That's the only reason I think her daughter is in the finals on the dance show.

Palin running in the VP slot you say?

That's the winning strategy you suggest?

Well, it worked well for McCain, so sure, Palin in the VP slot... perfect!

MaDalton 11-19-2010 11:24 AM

Palin is dumb as a rock, trusting her with a political position says a lot about the current mindset of some people

_Richard_ 11-19-2010 11:32 AM

it has been ordained

I guess you didn't get the memo, Barry won because he wasn't Bush, even Barry knows that.
Things have changed and her reality show broke records and her daughter is in the top three on dancing with the stars. And it ain't because of her dancing. She's more popular than ever.
Everything that the liberal press threw at her and she's still that popular!
You can ignore this like the democrats did or use a brain cell and see whats going on.
For I think the first time in history, and political movement that won't go away is pushing a simple agenda and has helped changed politics as usual, the next 6 months, either the Tea Party will die or things are going to be very different in Washington.

Personally, I want someone to challenge Barry for the party vote and win, but NOT Hillary. We as a country need a balance, having a democrat in the white house and the senate and house ran by the GOP is a better mix

I feel like I know how she will vote on almost everything, which is something new.
Try reading the whole post next time
I think that Obama will not be the party choice in 2012 if things are still bad with the economy

you dont know shit about how she will vote because she will vote the way the puppet masters tell her to vote...

obama will not be re elected if the economy continues to decline or hold at current levels..

unless of course he unites the country via some type of event... :2 cents:

I have never seen first hand, so I guess I can't say I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, but as someone with many friends in the gay community here I would say I have it on good authority. Not only was he featured in Outrage- a documentary about closeted gay republicabs- but if you google "Charlie Crist Gay", factual or not, enough comes up that would make a presidential bid difficult to say the least.

I actually have grown to like Crist over the years and voted for him in the last election. I don't think someone's sexuality should be a factor, but the rally against gay marriage was a huge factor in the 2004 election, based on that I feel our country is far from ready to accept the possibility of having an openly gay leader.

Bryan G 11-19-2010 02:12 PM

I cannot believe some people would even consider Palin as VP or even worse President, what in the fuck is wrong with you????

bushwacker 11-19-2010 04:23 PM

The fact that anyone would consider palin for president or vice president, pretty much sums up how fucked this country has become. I might as well run for office. :1orglaugh

I think you might be over-thinking her popularity with these points. Her show broke a record for a debut on the TLC network. She got about 5 million viewers. In a country of a just over 300 million that means about 1.6% of the people tuned into her show. So it wasn't like she tore the walls down and united the country. Let's wait to see how her ratings go this week too. I bet she is down to around 3.5-4.0 million.

As for Bristol. She is in a perfect storm. She has the conservatives voting for her and there is a segment of the population who has adopted her as the little train that could and vote for her as well. But she is also getting a lot of help of from the Vote for the worst crew. If you aren't familiar with these people, they pick contestants on reality shows like dancing with the stars and american idol and they vote for the worst one so that they stick around as long as possible and make a mockery of the show. A few seasons back they got on american idol into the top 6-8. They currently have a horrible singer in the top 8 on the British X-Factor. Now they are backing Bristol so there are a lot of people who don't even watch the show who call in or go to the website and vote for her because they think it is funny.

Also, Obama is playing it cool and not saying anything (smart) so he does not give fuel to the republicans. Once he gets re-elected he will do the same as Clinton did and crunch down on most things like we wanted.

Obama knows there are two scenarios that work well for him. If the economy improves he will likely win because he will take credit for it and it will be hard for the republicans to say, "sure, things are good, but they could be better with us." Secondly, if things improve some, but the republicans do a bunch of dumb stuff he could be in good shape. The republicans were voted in because people saw the democrats as not doing enough to help the economy. If the republicans don't keep their promises and at least try to get things passed that will help the economy it will hurt them. If they try and fail they can always blame the democrats and use that against them, but if they don't try and just spend the next 2 years fighting with the democrats and blocking everything people will be pissed.

DateDoc 11-19-2010 06:58 PM

And Clinton will not be VP on '12 Dem ticket.
