Dre 2001 was not as good as the Chronic and if Detox ever sees the light of day it will be worst than Dre 2001. Detox surely will disappoint, if he had an album's worth of dope songs Detox would of been released years ago.

You must be young. NWA FTW. He basically produced all their stuff, including Straight Out of Compton (one of the greatest rap songs of all time). Before NWA, nearly every music artist (regardless of genre) was afraid to say shit in a lyric. For crying out loud, "I want your sex" by George Michael was considered "crazy" before NWA blew the shit up.

Chronic is still a class rap album and I've yet to be at a party that doesn't go crazy after the DJ starts playings hits from it.

You say he's not that good, but you know all the NWA lyrics by heart lol? Ice Cube, Ren and Dre wrote all the music for NWA (Eazy E just rapped and didn't know shit about production). Dre almost exclusively handled all the beats for NWA. So if you are a NWA fan, you had to of been a Dre fan.

I'll admit, his work is stale now, but in his prime, he was leaps and bounds ahead of his time.
