Hit Santa Monica Blvd you'll love it

Westwood stopped being a place to go sometime in the 90's. 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, and Universal's CityWalk are much better places to hang out if you're in your 20's/30's. And Hollywood is a lot nicer now than it was just a few years ago. The only place I ever go to in Westwood is the Hammer Museum... :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Geez, Maloney's back in my UCLA days, but they changed the name. Most people move on to Santa Monica or to Abbot Kinney in Venice.

i live in l.a., i'm meeting someone in westwood.

if you are looking for a college sort of bar with cheap drinks and tvs and stuff, brewco is probably best. if you are looking for a very nice spot with an older crowd, steeper drink prices and great food, hit up the w. their restaurant and bar is great. also, there is a pretty good restaurant palomino that has a really good late happy hr (maybe like 9-11 i think?).

W Westwood is good. There is a nice inside restaurant or if it is a nice day you can eat out by the pool for lunch

You must check out the Lebanesse place off Santa Monica and Westwood Blvd, its amazing! The best marinated chicken kebab platter ever. Also you can NEVER ever go wrong with Apple Pan on Pico and don't forget to get the banana pie, enjoy!

i've always had good things happen when i've stayed/hung out at a W!

w is probably best for you then. you will avoid fratboys and such there. palomino also attracts an older crowd but a few kids come down there for the late happy hour.

also if you like sushi, tengu in westwood is one of my favorite sushi restaurants in la. i would highly recommend it.

damn, would love to add another sushi joint to my list. is tengu one of the uber sexy sushi spots or more reasonable?

i wouldn't say it is uber sexy (not quite on the level of katsuya or katana), but it is definitely upscale. the staff is nice though and you won't get any attitude or whatever. it's a little more pricey but nothing ridiculous, esp by la standards. menu is on website http://www.tengu.com/.

when i was at ucla, tengu was my standard date spot and i had a 100% success rate at getting laid afterwards. ladies love it.

Any of the food spots near UCLA. Cheap too. That mongolian place is awesome

The Stand is a solid hot dog, burger and beer place.. monday nights $1 night for dogs and happy hour beers if you sign up to their stand members club (Free)...

The W hotel is my favorite in Westwood though... the bar, the rooms the pool.. cant go wrong there!!!
