Food Donation $25 Pays for 75 Meals
 

I thought I would post this so here goes,

Everyday there are starving people with no jobs that live in Detroit. Some people don't know if they are going to be able to eat each day. I am asking for you to make a donation to the Gleaners Food Bank of Detroit where $25 will pay for 75 meals for people. It's not much out of your pocket and even if you can only make a one time donation you will make the difference in someone's life.

This organisation is a registered charity in Detroit so it's not a scam, and believe it or not they actually use the full donation amount to buy food!.

Are you retarded? On the off chance that even one cent of my donation will go to some Detroit thug I won't donate shit...ever. I have no problem donating to someone who deserves the help but most of Detroit doesn't deserve sympathy. Their situation is largely their own fault.

I'm just saying they are based in Detroit and to say they are run by thugs you should have proof before you get banned for making accusations that you can't back up!.

I am asking for people to make donations for other people, I am not what you call a panhandler else I would be asking for donations for myself.

I never begged you for food or to make a donation, I simply requested you to visit the site and do what you feel is right, you seem to want to keep this going. Like I said, I hope someday you don't need a meal. If you do when someone gives it to you, you'll be remembering this thread. Have a nice day!.

No you didn't say it was ran by thugs my mistake, but they help all races of people. Regardless of who's eating the meals that person must need help if they are at a food bank. In Detroit for example, most homeless people are over the age of 50. I highly doubt they are thugs as you put it.

I don't see why everyone is bashing...it's a good cause and most "thugs" in detroit will be on the corner selling drugs for their food, there's a good chance your $25 WILL help someone who needs it.

hrmm my apologies, I'll stay out of this one. I'm all for charities if it's a good cause though...I had a friend who wasn't that great off and I always hated seeing him try to go to place after place to try and get some help to get him back on his feet..just to be turned around or led to another place or put on some long ass waiting list.

Yeah this is Sad, I watched the video..

Problem here is these people in other countries really need our help but our money is funneled through too many hands "greedy hands". Look what happened to the money we all donated for the relief efforts in Haiti. Sean Pean is only one trying to do good over there while the likes of "Will-iam" and others take advantage of those people. Looks like Clinton is having a hard time getting that money out to the people where they really need it. I'll never text in money to anyone again over the phone. They say the Red Cross got 100% of the money that was sent in through the 90999 number but I have trouble believing that.

I personally will never donate outside my own country anymore because of all the fraud that is committed with our money. Believe me I would love too, but because of the way the money is handled it leaves people to believe someone is at the top taking it for themselves and not using it for what it's supposed to be used for. While I think the efforts in Cambodia are needed, I think we need to take care of country first. Please watch Glenn Beck you'll understand.
