My latest blog increasing productivity note/tip/thingy
I realised the other day when my internet was down and I couldn't get onto my blogs to make posts, that, if I have downloaded content from sponsors and wrote posts about them in notepad it was a lot easier. ( I had already downloaded the content in question of course)
I can't explain why but I was on a role! I done about 30 blog posts in 1-2 hours (I usually do about 10 in the same time when I sit down to do blog posts) all made sense (no gibberish) and they were interesting. I even liked reading them back when I double checked them which also doesn't usually happen. So, From now on I am going to grab pics, rename or whatever else needs doing to the content. and then write my posts into notepad or word. And copy and paste them over to WP when needed. Some of you may find this experience useful, some of you may already do it :thumbsup I hit a record today using this method and managed to do 40 blog posts today. All well over 300 words. |
yeah always did hate writing in that little blog box.

I am not sure if you are using Windows OS or not, but I use BlogDesk. You can load as many blogs into it as you want. I don't ever have to open up a wordpress backend to write posts ever. You can format the posts based on your blog theme with a template maker in the software and save the templates based on the blogs. You can even add info for custom fields if need be for Wordpress Tube themes etc. With this you can also change the dates of your posts. So if you write 10-20 blog posts at one time. You can spread them out over dates in wordpress and it will automatically post them when you want them to be posted. You can also edit your photos with it. Saves me a shitload of time. You should check it out.

I agree with you Si and I am using that method for a long time and also you can try something else. Notepad++5.8x has current version. Try that one, has a lots of features like word itself, has spellchecker (download additional plugin), word counter, different themes, zoom in and out the text and million other things that are useful for typing. Also you can download from a backdoor sites for free and it perfectly works. see the difference :thumbsup

If you use a Mac, then MarsEdit is your friend. Brilliant blogging tool.
Fuck using wordpress! |
I don't even write my blog posts anymore. I bought the latest edition of Dragon Naturally Speaking 11. I talk and it writes. Once you get used to it, it is extremely acurate and fast.

Been using Notepad++ for a while (with the Squiggly Spell Check plugin as some days I can't spell for shit).
|
When I was on a vacation I did basically them same thing. I had saved down some articles on some topics and then wrote 15 blogposts in Notepad in 1 hour on my small netbook.
That's more work than I normally do in 1 week. :1orglaugh |
I use windows live writer on many of my blogs.
|
Oh wow, I like writing in wordpress :)
|
Haven't tried windows live writer or blogdesk. Might give them a shot and see what happens :thumbsup
