Paysites with their endless consoles has done more damage than tgps. Try getting a surfer to go to a paysite tour. Look at the way he is treated. And then paysite owners don't understand why thier banners don't get clicks anymore. And the paysites who have a enter console? WTF, already you tell the surfer that your site sucks and they should go somewhere else. If you had even a shred of faith in your own sites ability to get a signup why would you even consider a enter console?

So you mean after being barraged with enter and exit consoles, after being fucked into rebilling for a month, after being charged for 3 other sites that he apparently agreed to, and after finding the same shitty content inside the paysite that he found on another paysite, he won't click another banner?

It's a weak argument. Yahoo! pool has more consoles than a normal paysite tour. So does a domain parked on netster or another similar service. Most paysites can't have too many consoles because thehun and others will ban them. So let's stop exaggerating.

I am still of the opinion that crossbilling a customer to 3 sites that cost a total of $120 a month in 8 point font on a join page is bad business. Because it affects two things, our status with VISA/MC, and the surfer's wallet. You can spam a surfer, fuck them around with consoles, and generally make their surfing experience miserable, but there's always a way out of it. If you hit them for $120 they didn't know they were getting charged, that's far worse.

it's possible to make a shitload of money with a paysite (in the current climate), without fucking over the surfer. yes, i'm serious.

Considering the amount of tgp owners that will read this thread to get a laugh - I have a question for you:

Do you link mainly to console free tours on yout tgp's so as not to piss off your surfers or do you feel differently about this?
