It was legal, and worth a shot -- and it worked. Almost a fail because number 19 gave it his best shot at catching him.

tricks are for kids, try that shit in college

Since when has it been legal for the center to hike the ball any way but between the legs.

If that were legal why wouldn't a center stand sideways and snap the ball for punts and field goals?

I say BS :)

he would get "ear holed" as soon as he snapped it.

Sure, the center would be vulnerable in that position so I would think the NFL would have made it a rule to snap between the legs to prevent any injury just like they let the quarterback slide or no leading with the helmet and so on.

I find it hard to believe that is a legitimate play and if it were I would think coaches would have variations of it in their play book like hiking the ball to one of the backs or even the tight end.

I need to see the rule book :)

It's called a "side snap" and it is 100% legal .. just no one ever uses it

fatfoo 11-09-2010 09:34 AM

he's the only one that listens to the coach, who probably told him to never give up on a play.
