Oppossums...
 

I moved up on a mountain...

last night an oppossum jumped in front of my car... sat there blinded for 10 mins before going back where it came from...

No wonder you see them squashed on the side of the road... they just stare at you...

I tried to shoo it out... seriously they just sit there in front of your car and dont move.

That was the first time Ive seen an opossum here.. Ive seen many deer... my son saw bear cubs... and another son saw a raccoon family... lots of squirrels..

be careful bears will jack u up if theirs a cub the mom isnt far away

ya there's lots of bear stories in coquitlam.. etc...

My neighborhood is moving up... litterally.. up the mountain... lots more people to eat before they land in my backyard.

I suggest investing in a mossberg a 500 will do just fine. that's funny till someone is really killed by an animal. then its tracked down and killed because some person wanted to live in its hunting ground.

They are waaaaaaaaaaaaay bigger than this... think of an extra large adult cat.

If your car is low you don't want to hit them, it's like hitting a ten pound sand bag.

I also almost hit a moose once driving in rural saskatchewan I was 17 yrs old. Same thing it just sat there. The moose was prolly at least 2000 lbs though...

i once saw a rabbit running next to the right side of my car - then it made a sharp left turn.... and ended its life under my right front tyre. like it was comitting suicide.

my dogs take care of any possum intruders around here.

Bear spray works better but of you must buy a 12, buy a Remington 870

they probably could smell carrots and got hungry.
