sure it is. people open up little gamble shops and dont have security. even a small place could net a robber $1000 so you could loose your life hanging in such a place. modesto in cali has a few :1orglaugh not saying that i visited them.

SWAT should not be raiding home poker games. Period!

The only reason police departments have such a hard on for drug raids and gambling raids is because they usually end up getting to keep all property and money seized.

SC Supreme court just heard arguments on a case in which a lower court overturned the conviction and ruled that poker is a game of skill in which players can learn and improve. A lot of people expect the Supreme court to let that lower court ruling stand, so it seems the police want to get their last few in before the ruling comes out.

Last time I said bad words about the police I got negative rep... but I will say it again... fucking police pigs!

Fuck SWAT. The assholes raided my house a month ago, arrested me in the street at gunpoint, interrogated me for hours. The end result was they had the wrong guy. Some asshat didn't do his job and they thought I was responsible for a string of bank robberies.

What a crazy news story this is though. Poor old guy, likely didn't realize what he was doing until after the fact.

That happened to me 15 years ago.


I was a bank robbery suspect. The swat team came in through the front door 10 deep. I had no idea what was going on at 6am. They were on me so fast, i could not reach for a gun. LUCKEY ME!!


I got seriously interrogated while hand cuffed in my underwear in my own apt. while all of the neighbors watched. Seriously sucked ass!


They Caught the 4 guys that actually did it an hour later.


All i got was, "sorry we made a mistake".



Im guessing somebody who did not like me or thought it would be funny to drop my name to one of those tip lines. Will never know.




There was no legal recourse for there honest/good faith mistake.

Very much a waste of man power. they could have had a couple detectives show at at 2pm with a black and white and knocked on the door. Showed them what they had and said its done. here is your citation. and no one would have gotten hurt.
