Most hosting enterprises rely on simplistic BGP and interface up/down logic for connectivity. This type of design is flawed, basically useless, because it relies completely on carriers to identify all of their local and global network problems. MojoHost has incorporated the Internap FCP 10Gx into its network infrastructure to guarantee the highest quality bandwidth product. This device sits "out of line" received a "mirror" of traffic and watches all packets coming in and out of the MojoHost network. The Internap FCP 10Gx does constant round-trip analysis to all significant end destinations (surfer networks) and is able to measure packet loss, latency and jitter to every destination over all connected carriers.
