Fuck ICQ... Skype & e-mail only for me.

Anytime someone does contact me via ICQ, I ask them to either add me to Skype or e-mail me.

Trillian but last few days it wont log into icq, i have to keep loging into trillian a few times before it works, pain in the ass.

the web interface is great. a few annoyances but the benefits far outweigh them.

although for 90% of my IM's i use skype

because so many people use so many diff IM I'm stuck having 4 but would so wish that everyone use Skype. Best IM client out there

Of course I'm using alternative ICQ clients, original one sucks sooo badly...

I use Miranda. But for some reason it doesnt show everyones ICQ nick. Say I add someone on my laptop, when I start Miranda on my pc at home, I only see numbers. Does anyone else have that problem?

Also,please adult webmasters, lets switch to some other IM network! Pretty please!

i agree, i despise icq i have no idea why it is the most popular im network for the adult community. maybe its the guise of ambiguity of issuing a number instead of a username

I'm pretty sure that if we held a poll here on GFY , most people would vote that they hate ICQ. But for some reason we can't seem to stop using it.

Maybe GFY should plan a Get Rid of ICQ day. That way everyone switches over to whatever other IM network.

It's one of the worst imho. I refuse to install it because it's an unstable, memory hogging piece of bloatware.

yeah i hate icq as well
but i have been using it for 10 years, got all my contacts there...
unless EVERYONE switches to Skype - which will not happen - there is no way ICQ will disappear in this industry... unfortunately

I use adium to combine icq, yahoo, msn, aim....everything but skype.

I use just regular icq, skype, Aim and so on. But it sucks when I have personal and business skype, I can not be logged in at the same time on both accounts. Would trillian (or something) help me? Is it like one user and one pass and I am able to chat on my 2 skypes, 2 AIMS, 2 ICqs? Not taht I have 2, but I mean do I get the idea right?

Contacts always stay no matter what im client you use,and having history is security risk.

I use triallian to do everything. It holds way more contacts without failing.

Skype is great but anyone who says the software isn't shit is crazy.
