Facebook UNLIKE button makes its debut

Relevancy wars heated up again

http://www.clickz.com/clickz/news/18...akes-relevancy

Quote:

If users choose "Unlike page," they'll see a message in their newsfeed that states, "Posts Now Removed...Posts from [brand] will no longer appear in your News Feed." The "Unlike" action has little viral capability, though, as it doesn't appear in the recent activity section on the user's Facebook wall.

The change makes Facebook wall posts behave a little bit more like e-mail, while raising the stakes on creating high-level message relevancy so audience members don't opt out. Before this development, users had to visit a brand page and scroll below the fold - just under the "People Like This" box - to tap an "Unlike" button. Or, they had to go into their "Likes and Interests" section to remove a brand from their profile.

To much gayness

It might be gay but I get to be in contact with friends and family scattered all over the world.

There has always been the ability to UNLIKE a page. When people on my pages bitch about everything, I usually point them to its location. Now you just have that option when you click the X in the feed. It still isn't very easy to find, and this certainly will not have the impact that say a big UNLIKE under each post would have.

Thank goodness it's not viral... yet. Would suck for those marketing on FB

For those pushing questionable things on Facebook, yeah it would suck. For those who provide good, valuable information on Facebook, it really wouldn't affect them. :thumbsup

i find it very amusing that all you people that make money via the internet are calling the website that has the most members on the planet "gay".
