I got my new keyboard and mouse today!!

I ordered this combination from Amazon and I have to say I really like it. I think the keys need to be a bit more sensitive, you have to kind of pound them to get them to work but I think once I have worn it in a bit it'll be ok. But check out the keys, I can practically see it from across the room! :)

LOL I know it may look a bit silly, but for my eyes that yellow and black contrast makes it very easy for me to see the keys...honestly, it is very F'ing cool for me hahaha

Cyandin 11-03-2010 08:37 AM

It's definitely high contrast, but it's a bit too "Bob the Builder" for my tastes. :)

P.S. I have a Logitech G15 and love it.

that G15 looks hot, but I would have a headache in under 15 minutes if I tried to use that keyboard and would have to lay down for an hour hahahaha

I am actually getting used to the 'bob the builder' look of it ya know :)
sometimes I will admit it kind of feels like 'keyboard from Tonka' though

That definitely got my attention when the window opened.

indeed, it is a bit on the loud side :)

I have a keyboard that is quite hard to push. No, it will NOT become worn in.

KrissyElise 11-03-2010 09:11 AM

I don't look at my fingers when I type. Seeing the keys isn't really an issue for me.

LeRoy 11-03-2010 09:14 AM

I like it :)

wow, I do! I got my first computer in 96 and learned how to type on it with the point and click method with one finger :1orglaugh

now I can type very fast but I still have my head down when I type, I really should have taken a typing class in HS but back then it seemed like only programmers used computers

pornguy 11-03-2010 09:27 AM

Looks kool though.

John-ACWM 11-03-2010 09:28 AM

No problems seeing the inscriptions now, you're right. Kinda cool.

JenniDahling 11-03-2010 09:29 AM

wow those look really bad, the posture of the hand on the mouse must be horrible

I use Kensigton Slimblade Trackball + Microsoft ergonomic keyboard 3000

well there really are not that many vision id keyboards out there and I kind of liked this one because it has 'personality' or is at least unique heh heh. The mouse isn't bad, a little larger then the standard wireless mouse I was using before

ottopottomouse 11-03-2010 09:56 AM

Definitely wasn't expecting to see a keyboard for blind people :1orglaugh

I really don't think the key springs are going to get any softer.

munki 11-03-2010 09:59 AM

I've been running a Logitech Wave Cordless for a while now, and am in absolute love. Much more relaxing typing experience.

Just learn to start typing using home row and sooner or later you'll find yourself typing faster and more accurately without looking than you do "chicken pecking".
