Seriously though, if gay marriage can't pass here, supposedly a pioneering state in progressiveness, there was no way legalizing pot was going to pass.

I bet there's quite a few law makers who would have breathed a huge sigh of relief is this proposition passed. Just imagine the extra funds for the state budget...

what I understood about it, was that many "pot smokers" voted against the bill because of the way it was written, so it wasn't merely a case of "for" or "against" legalizing pot, it was the wording of the bill that got it defeated :2 cents:

At least the way it is now, we know where we stand. With 19, really did not. I voted for it, but don't really care that it did not pass as I did not think it would.

My main concern is Brown. Seriously, I can not believe you people would vote for him again.

I think with the way its setup right now with the medical cards a lot of pro pot folks didn't give a fuck if it passed or not, and some were actually against it passing.

Well it's 46% now...approximately the same percentage of people that voted for John McCain in the last presidential election. I repeat: no way it would pass.

and the even higher expenses having to train the Cops as DRE versus just DUI tech. along with the new equipment required and the cost of an increase in vehicle crashes for at least a few months.

I'm not surprised... illegal market is strong and they don't want it to be legal.

i blame san diego. they all voted against it. it interfered too much with their trade with mexico

I've got my medical recommendation... no skin off my back, though it would be nice to see some legislation written that the independent growers could get behind and actually make a valid push next time around.
