but door-to-door sales is a trip

i used to sell for Fuller Brush when i was about your age or younger

nothing like a few doors slamming in your face to give you perspective in life

but i used to have a smoke after every sale...kind of felt like hot sex on a cold night

actually i had leads from telemarketers so the prospects where waiting for me, looking forward to kick my ass.

One time there was this lady that lived in low income residence for welfarians (i didn't know it was for people on welfare, it looked so nice)

Anyway we had to use the vacuum on the prospect's bed to pick up the dead skin (old people wherwe the worst, tons of dead skin in there, like a precursor to the inevitable) and i told her something like this:

Me: I bet you sleep on that side of the bed
Her: how did you know?
Me: 9/10 women sleep on the side closest to the door
Her: how come?
Me: Bathroom or security (heard that from another salesman)

The the old bitch said she didn't need to use the bathroom, lifted her dress and showed me her colostomy bag

fuck i wanted to puke right there

anyway i never made the sale cuz in the end turns out she was on welfare (the damn thing cost $2k)
