webcam sites and a new computer
I am in the market of buying a new computer, and I have noticed that alot of the girls in my studio laptops are not up to par and cause choppy feeds (lol they blame the camera for it)
I am wondering what are decent specs to buy laptops for webcamming today. |
does it even matter what kind of computer you use to cam
|
no you can even use a vic 20 if need be.

please contact hostgator minnie. something is amiss. |
Minnie, your website is down.

I don't do cams but from my experience with laptops I would recommend you one of those brands dell, hp, toshiba, sony or mac.
Most of other brands (like Fujitsu-Simens, MSI, Gericom...) are just not worth it. As for specs go with min. 4GB ram, some nice i3-7 core processor and you'll be fine |
times must be tough if you cant pay for a simple $10 hosting account

plenty of camgirls got fucked over by the epass fiasco. thank you mallick asshole.

A Dual or Quad core processor is recommended for high video quality and speed. |

Toshiba's are nice machines for sure, but we found a real pain in the ass with our Toshiba notebook when it came to video chatting. I forget the spec of the machine, but it was much slower than a desktop machine of the near-same spec. Performance just sucked on it until we realized that some laptops automatically slow down their CPU's when running on battery power, even with the power-save features disabled. Their CPU's also slowed down with the AC power connected when they became too hot. Their fans of course kicked into overdrive for a very annoying whine-y sound. In the end we scrapped the idea of PC based laptops and remained only with desktops. The only good alternative we found are the Apple Macbooks and Macbook pro. Outstanding video quality, long batter life, quiet, and FAST FAST FAST. |
fuck off minnie you are a psycho bitch

http://store.apple.com/ca/browse/hom...co=MTM3NjU3MDM Yess you can. Apple still has core 2 duos in their lineup. That's one thing stopping me from getting a new Macbook. I wish they'd get on with the times. :1orglaugh Either way, Mark's right. Any non-second hand laptop from $700 and up will do the job just fine. |

I am wondering if there are any webcam studios and webcam site reps here to speak on this .
Thanks for all the suggestions. I enjoy Dell I haven't had any problems with them. but the studio will be recommended for Tosiba and also probably Acer. I cam on a desktop for many years so for me I am not picky but others might think a laptop is needed but they will learn the screen being far won't help much when they need to keep in contact with the customers. |

you should consider a semi-professional camera like Sony EVI D100, D70, D30, D31. Take a look here on ebay. These cameras have pan tilt movement, zoom and remote. The video image is pretty good. Be sure you have good lighting. |
I ended up getting myself a Toshiba Satellite c650-01W. 300 gig harddrive, 3 gig of ram, dual core, windows 7. I am pretty happy with it. and its about 2.3 ghz
I got for camming for myself logitech pro9000 or the logitech C500/c600. I have used the Sony EVI cameras I don't like them. I rather have the pan and tilt head from ebenk or trackercam. |
