Toplists. Waste of Time or...?
 

Just curious how many of my fellow webmasters still regularly submit to toplists, web rings?

Serious question 488, I know that "webrings" are old school. But surprisingly for niche stuff, they are still around.

I doubt they're worth anything, they weren't any good in the 90's.

They get the shittiest traffic you can imagine.. they are basically CJs.

Waste of time.

That may be true now but when I ran a topsite it was the best filter
of traffic I ever had. The only reason I don't still have that topsite is
because other webmasters stopped signing up and converted to CJ TGP.

toplists are good stuff if you know how to play with them

yes :)
send them only shitty traffic (china, turkey... etc)
in exchange for tier one traffic...

just need to setup your trade script correctly...

yes, i have had good luck with that traffic. Like the people above stated, i think it is all about the lists in particular...

You can do that with old toplist scripts but the latest ones are wise to it.
