Most of them things are available on toolbars already.

Check my firefox screenshot out:

Can't remember the name of the one I am using but I will look it up if anyone is interested.

That could be.

It could be that some do not have all of the features that people want, I dunno. The list above was actually submitted by clients. We are simply gathering up ideas, and concepts for things to develop as a tools suite to give away to clients to use for free.

Everything from simple tools, to stripped down CMS's for various needs.

Give us the deets on what it does, how it would work, and we can see what they can conjure up for you sire. Just a basic overview or examples and I am sure with a few Q&A they can work it out easily enough.

Some of the ideas we get I have never heard of. But we are open to anything that may be of use to webmasters to make their life easier. Over time, we should have a nice WM tool box for clients.

Something I'm sure would be a hit would be a "smart" content spinner.

Meaning, unlike the junk out there, something that could re-write blog posts/articles in a much more advanced way.

Basically, achieving "morphing" type results WITHOUT the need for the person to specify words to swap in.

ie. instead of writing stuff like [word1|word2|word3], it automatically finds the nouns, adjectives, verbs, etc... and replaces them by similar meanings, via Thesaurus APIs and such.

It also would allow for reserved words not to replace, specific replacements (ie. if you always want to replace the word 'apple' by 'granny smith'), etc...

That would be a hit IMO :2 cents:

Oh yeah, of course! :) Not every plugin has everything.

Sounds like a good idea. Value added scripts other hosts don't have :thumbsup

That would be awesome indeed.

I will run the idea by my guys and see what they think, and how easily that would be to achieve. This is not the first time I have heard of something like that. But hopefully with enough deets the programmers can bang out a delicious application.

You've got it buddy.

I am actually moving my online business to more of the creative development side of things. I enjoy working on new projects, and keeping things fresh. I get bored doing the same routine every day. I would much rather be working on something creative and inventive.

Between the web hosting, the tools, along with my production company and porn assets. I have enough variety to keep my attention. I enjoy working on new applications to plug the content into and see what the results are. If all the value adds help business in the long term, it is even better for business.

I tell you what would be good is a wp (wordpress) plugin that alows you to run a decent top site/link up script.

Ie, people can add there site to your blog, and the script will check each day to see if the link is on there site (automaticly).

And the sites that send the most hits go to the top.

DVTimes 10-23-2010 10:03 AM

Also a wp plugin that gives direct feeds to twwet sites.

At the moment you have to use 3rd party aps which tend to somtimes work.

It would be nice to have a plugin that would post live to your tweet sit(s).

wild johnny 10-23-2010 10:36 AM

There may be one of these available but I have not found it as of yet.

It would be nice to have a standard 3 column word press theme that would be easy to customize.

I am not a programmer, but over time I have stumbled my way into the programing and changed certain aspects of a theme. It would be kinda handy if there was a file that you could go into that simply lists all current setup details. such as colors, backgrounds, header Images, and so on. It would sweet if in this same file you could modify colors, texts backgrounds, main widths, sidebar widths, post area widths and so on. And click save and it would automatically update the theme. Of course all new base images would have to be loaded manually into the image file.

If something like that was available I for one would put it to good use.

Have a play about with 2010 Weaver theme it's quite idiot-proof:

Yep that's the file I have learned to stumble through. Laughing!!

I use free themes available all over the place. But want to modify a few things on most of them. Some have easy css that I can go into and make a few changes. And some have long drawn out complicated css. And the themes look and function the same.

It would just be handy to have a file that Lists all changeable things and if you updated that file it would update the css. I could have one base theme and turn it into 10-20 or more different looking themes in a short, easy to do amount of time.

Seriously dude, get it. Find the theme options in the admin and go wild!

Wordpress based directory plugin or just a decent directory script (there used to be this one available http://www.onlinemarketingtoday.com/...ent-assistant/ but it's not anymore). It should be SE friendly of course...

Grapesoda 10-24-2010 07:26 AM

here's what I would really like to have: a keyboard representation that allows me see the keys being used, that I can control the opacity that floats over 'apps' so that I can 'touch type' (sadly it's true, I'm a hunt an' pecker)

A Wordpress membership plugin that only manages signup purchases and role granting, but actual role control/permission is left to other scripts*. Something that can handle CCBill, Paypal, and other common ones, and supports recurring.

*for simplicities sake

HTMwrestling 10-25-2010 04:23 PM

Another WP plugin, a system that tracks user IP changes against a geoIP database and a user-defined ruleset (eg how many changes allowed in a certain amount of time) to see who might be password sharing.

Seems that link checking stuff is a big deal. I am surprised that linkspun, or one of those other link trading dealios have not mastered it, or made a spin off.
