Advanced Submitter

Does anyone here use it? i had some questions about it and this is what i wrote on another forum, figured id post it here also ......

Am i the only one who doesnt know how to work this thing?

Ill try to explain some of my confusion ....

1. where are the recip buttons? Do i need to go to all of these built in sites to get them?

2. when adding a site, does each field have to be filled out? Or are some optional like weight, type and autosubmit and stuff.

3. whats difference between "site" and "recip link"

4. i dont see a field for password, what if i have prefferred status for a particular tgp?

Thanks in advance.

Q: Where are the recip buttons? Do i need to go to all of these built in sites to get them?

A: The recips are in a seperate zip file. I believe you can get the zip right on the website.

Q: When adding a site, does each field have to be filled out? Or are some optional like weight, type and autosubmit and stuff.

A: Why wouldn't you want to fill out these fields?

Q: Whats difference between "site" and "recip link"

A: The 'site' is the url to the TGP - and the 'recip link' is the filename of the recip button.

Q: I dont see a field for password, what if i have prefferred status for a particular tgp?

A: You need to learn how to 'edit site specific rules'. They are rules that you can make for each site, so you can tell it to fill your password into the password field, etc.

I feel your pain, I opened it and closed it soon after, too lazy to figure it all out

This is probably one of the easiest autosubmitters to setup and config. Took me about 5 minutes...tops. I lost count when it came to time while installing my TGSW. AdvancedSubmitter is a dream as well, if you prefer to submit manually. I'm sitting here doing so right now :)

lil2rich, the TGPs that look like they have no recip info usually have it in the form of a html table, you can see the info if you look at the site in extended view. If you do an experiment and create pages, you'll see that it does put the recips in place.

It's not a bad submitter, actually, altho the manual and help info are not the best, but thats true with a lot of shit these days.
