those affiliate managers/reps
 

i see some people hired to be affiliate managers/reps.

do they work full time?

what do they do? Is it basicly answer emails?

are they well paid?

hire one for your mrfag site.

The level of pay/amount of hours depends on the skill of the manager. If a person is of limited skill and just answers emails and is a mouthpiece on message boards, they don't command much money these days.

If you are a rep that has many things to bring to the table and is an asset to the company, the hours and pay are likely much greater. There are a handful of great reps out there, and you'll find out that they are much more than board personalities and email answering services.

In summation....If you're a rep that knows how to build traffic, can make important decisions that benefit the company and you have people skills, then a career may be there for you. If not, you'll have your contacts scraped away by the company, and you'll get passed around to the next company.

most of them are on a commission based salary now with no guaranteed salary each week. i love it, fucking spamfest is over because of it.

I am more than full time...but mostly because I am a workaholic. I do a number of things but a large portion of my day is on icq or email largely doing customer service sort of support that ranges from getting bigger players things they need to run their projects to real hand holding stuff with the folks that are newer to the industry. In any one day I probably deal with all sorts of requests that range from payment inquires to go over somebody's site with them step by step seeing how things could be done differently to convert better. That is just the stuff I do that involves interaction with 'the public'...lots of bits and bobs behind the scenes too.

Most of us sit around all day in front of the computer playing Farmville pretending to work. Every now and then we'll start a thread saying "look at our hot new girls!" and then go to Mafia Wars to make sure we are beating the Triads. On a great day, we'll level-up our WoW character and meet Leeroy Jenkins.
