Type of Webcam (Solo Girl Sites)
What do you guys think is the way to go?
Or do you think it's better to use a video camera. Top webcam is 130 bucks at FutureShop here in canada. shoots 10mp photos and shoots in 1080p HD. Its the Logitech C910. Theres the orbit one too, lesser quality but moves around. Is a video camera that much better? Im looking at the photo capture screen right now and it still seems to be a little pixelated/rough around the edges of the face (not perfectly clear) - It's on its highest setting also Are the ones at electronic stores consumer ones only and is there a store that sells much more advanced ones or are these pretty much it that they sell at places like FutureShop? Is it annoying to use a video camera with the cam software out there or pretty straight forward? |
are you using encoding software?

We haven't chosen what software we will be using for any of it as we have just began to look at how we're going to deliver the cam shows. So if you have suggestions, I would love to hear. |
Logitech pro900 , orbit and the lastest models are pretty great for live broadcasting, and a good lighting set up. even the new microsoft line of webcams I use to cam with a video camera sharpDL100 and JVC290 and Sony Handycam since the webcams have come along way.
I am no longer using video cameras for my webcam shows. |
Hey
We just bought Microsoft LiveCam's for two of our girls... :thumbsup I hear the C910 are wicked too, just never tried them...

The Logitech Pro 9000 is a great camera and its dirt-cheap too at only $100.00. It's perfect for what you need. You can use Camcorders better quality but only if you plan to archive and re-package it in the future. Camcorders will easily cost you 5 or 6 times more which may be a budget buster for you.
If you are planning to broadcast your feeds to members, consider Miricam: http://2much.net/miricam/images/miricam-screenshot1.jpg http://2much.net/miricam/index.php It's a multi-channel video broadcast solution for the members area of your website, or as a free website attractor. Try it for free at http://2much.net/miricam/index.php or give me a call 866-892-5122 and I'll show you how it works. |
The Logitech 9000 is a good camera to start off with. I prefer to use a video camera. It is a lot better quality. I found a kick ass stand that you attach to your camera that allows your cam to turn all the way around, go up and down, zoom in and out and turn off and all. All controlled with a remote.

what's the name of that stand, and your video camera? |
The logitech9000 is outdated. We have most of our girls using the C910 now and the users LOVE THEM. Great cam also great if the girl is wanting to take some quick snaps to promo etc.
