Just how wrong alexa geo stats are
 

One site gets about 25000+/day traffic and alexa claims the finland % to be 18%.. when in fact it is a mere 0.2%. All just because I visit the site.
Russia it claims to be: 7.1% but it is 0.1%
India it claims to be: 4.3% but it is 0.9%
etc. all are way off.

Another site of mine gets about 100k/day traffic:
US it claims to be 12.9% but it is really 20%
India it claims to be 32% but it is 16.3%
Germany it claims to be 2% but it is 7.8%

See how way off they are even with high traffic sites? Yet a lot of advertisers rely on alexa geo %. :Oh crap

Alexa doesn't have access to your logs or stats, they can only go by the people that have their toolbar installed. Of course it's not going to be 100% accurate.

Yes I of course know that.. but sad how many care about the geo stats anyways. With that post I tried to educate such. :P
