Tinypic becoming unreliable?
 

I've noticed more and more images keep disappearing from tinypic that people have uploaded and posted in different forums, is it just overzealous reporting of images, or is something else going on in them trying to cut bandwidth?

They were my favorite too until they added captcha.

I don't get how any of these sites make money.

they must be losing money, the ad placement on their site is not very prominent, and they are basically just using bandwith for people's hotlinked images that never see any ads after they have uploaded

unless the whole thing is a big scam for the future when someday they plan to replace all the millions of hotlinked images they have all over the net with some big ad for pepsi or something :1orglaugh

Yeah its been really bad, I had some twitter icons and whatnot hosted there for my signature and everything got deleted. Bummer.

I have noticed it too, they are removing perfectly normal images with no adult in them whatsoever.

they need to make money somehow or they will burst

Tinypic sucks lately...

I'm sure we all have hosting and can host images ourselves and avoid this trouble. That said, I also use tinypic and I don't know why but the pic deleting is annoying :1orglaugh
