That 70's Music (A Vjo and MisterPeabody Production) lol :)

OK here we go. I have been into posting 70's music stuff lately (with the edging on from my sidekick MisterPeabody (you know him, you love him) (or am I his sidekick - I bet he makes more than me, anyhow I regress and that may happen from time to time lol) so this is a carryover from MP's most beautiful thread.

http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?p=17627260

I will repost a couple things to get her going. I might as well have an audience as I release my fabulous knowledge of 70s music (pop, rock, some country) :)

I just want to post as I work once in a while.. on going. And then listen. You do the same. Post what you like and listen.

We wont agree (altho us 70s guys usually like the same stuff) and I know guys only click a few vids (if any) it is all about what YOU like. Let me hear it.

Note: the wack title is to drag MP along. :) I did not have his permission to put his name up but like the 70s it is all about having fun and no rules and a lil hijinks. :)

And lots of these: :)

Post your fav 70's stuff :thumbsup

I would have Tone Loc say "hit it" (that is so cool) but this is the 70's and not the 90's so these guys get the honor..

this is so right outside MP's door.. so big city.. love it

According to the survey there are like 20 guys over 40 who "may" come around in the next 3 days so I dont expect a lot of turnout for this one. lol

Oh man, oh well as Bob Segar said :)

ill sit and listen to em by myself

this one may creep just a couple years into the 80s

but good fucking song, I dedicate it to a blonde named Ladonna..

it was now 1987, 5 years later, when I found out she dug me.. then in 1994, maybe 12 years later .. i was delivering pizzas.. did she recognize me? I dont know. Like Harry Chapin, I knew it was over by then. I gave her her pizza but I knew who Ladonna Scott* was before I delivered it..

she was the mega hot blonde girl (about 19-20 with the tightest Minn-Perfect lil country girl ass you ever dreampt of) I and a few other guys went tubing in 1982 with.. she was with another guy then..

she tipped good tho..

Night Moves played on..

* names were not changed to protect the innocent. I hope she reads this :)

Hey-OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Vjo, you crazy, beloved nutjob - and I mean that in only the best possible way - I predict you and I will be the only ones who post here. Maybe FatFoo, too. It's not "drama" per se so we can count out Barefootsies (plus he would never post in a thread with so little views).

But the music from the '70's will soothe our blues, as the Giants won and my dream of kicking mccfadden's Philly ASS in the World Series is slipping away, from both sides now. Heh.

Sorry about your Twinkies, mate - but really, this is getting ridiculous already with the not beating the Yankees. :)

Currently I am crazy/mad/INSANE for all things Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young IN THE SEVENTIES - and with all 'permutations". This is because I "found" (heh) an AMAZING kick-ass boot of CSNY from Dwetroit in 1974, and another show from London from that same year, and it had an electrified version of Stills previously-acoustic "Black Queen" that KICKS MUTHAFUCKIN' ASS!!

So now I'm obsessed with:

Neil Young
Harvest
On The Beach
Tonight's The Night
Rust Never Sleeps
Stars 'N Bars
Comes a Time (OMG! Awesome)

STEPHEN STILLS:
Manassas - 1972 (pure, unadulterated GENIUS)
Manassas - Down The Road - 1972
(actually, don't get me started on Stephen Stills. I think I have a "problem" when it comes to him, like I wanna be him or something. Gotta shake it off...shake it off...)

DAVID CROSBY:
If I Could Only Remember My Name - the whole damn album. Genius!

GRAHAM NASH:
Immigration Man
We Can Change the World (Chicago).....

...which brings me to...

CHICAGO!

R.I.P. indeed, Terry Kath. AMAZING guitarist, and Chicago - believe it or not, you snickerers, you kiddies out there - CHICAGO was COOL!

Until Chicago VIII. All downhill from there. But the first, say, FIVE Chicago albums will kick your fucking ASS boys and girls. PLEASE trust me on this one.

Add 'South Carolina Purples' to your lyrics list, Vjo! And 'Free', and 'Ballet For a Girl From Buchanan". Oh, how I LOVED Chicago!

Others of note:

Doobie Brothers - PRE-Michael McDonald
But, oddly, given the above, Steely Dan. :)
The Who - I mean, OMG.
The Band
Your Neighbor - for reals? - Blood On The Tracks.
Styx - especially pre-Cornerstone.
Eric Clapton, so smooth in the Seventies...

Oh, I could list a thousand Vjo! Just find some Lou Reed baby.

LOU - fuckin' - REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!
<////////////>~~~

- MRP
manana

Vjo 10-20-2010 10:27 PM

Ohh man MP what a post.

I have to give you a Rob Schneider SNL greeting for that reserved for only the coolest..

ok MP walks in to the copy machine, Rob S is at the desk..

MP: "Hi Rob where's the copies?

Rob S: "MisterPeabody, MP, the Peabodyinater, MPPPPPPP, hey MisterPeabody what's up"

lol Awsum post lots of good stuff to keep me going.

Give me a sec to read it now. lol

i just seen Lou Reed..

Vjo 10-20-2010 10:38 PM

I have to take a piss, make some coffee, and take a break with the blonde roadies but I will be responding to that most awsum post soon. :)

In the mean time chill out. Free refreshments over their. Your choice of free livation.

Me and MP will have sativa, (no indica, please), fatfoo will have a ginger ale lol

j/k j/k

Yeah some guys are just not really into the 70's. How that can be possible I have no idea. But give it time.

I think they missed something we didnt growing up. :)

No prob. Yeah we were like the best record in baseball for a while but the Yanks kill the Twins. Always have. I remeber being in the old Met Stadium with guys like Mickey Rivers beating us up. Remember playing the Balt. Orioles when Boog Powell hit an upper decker to beat us. I go back. :) Ahh some good times. Of course Harmon Killebrew and prob Kirby are well known. Twins have had a LOT of good ball players astart at Minn then get bought up. Great farm system.

We already heard Dialogue and ? 67 and 68.

Introduction (great song) and the long version of Does Anybody Know..

Great stuff, see if I can find them..
