........I'm not going to tell you who he is; God knows The Good Reverend Phred Phelps has all he can handle but let me tell you this......a few cars and pickups arrived at the farm and Dad and his Buds went out to a room built in one of the pole barns and I'm not going in. They play cards, drink, talk and reminisce there. Place has a full-blown kitchen, it does.

They will come out when they are ready to come out. The guy died from complications resulting from exposure to Agent Orange. Now please don't get pissed off at me but I have to do something with what I am feeling right now, so GFY gets it.

About all I can tell you is that this guy was an American Soldier and I only remember him from when I was little but he was my freind.

Please do not be angry with me as I offer up this video to his memory.

I hope that piece of shit Phelps and his scumbag followers don't take notice of his passing. As an US Army vet and member of the Patriot Guard, I have had dealings with them on two occasions and they are truly 100% anti american assholes. There will be a special place in hell for him and his whole ungodly clan.

I handled a request for a fairly hefty alcohol and food delivery today; left it by the door and I think things will wind down by tomorrow night. At least this sort of wake will wind down but never the memory.

I would have loved it if anyone would have protested my step dad's funeral, the crowd there was packing and it would have not been pretty for them.
Had the VFW doing a 21 gun salute with M1 garands and 2 Marines doing the flag ceremony and blew taps
We drank Coors and Black Velvet to his memory, spent days with old friends from all over the place, people I hadn't seen since I was a kid.

I'm a submariner
My daughter is active Navy till next month on the USS Ronald Reagan

The biker clubs in Kansas are sort of body guarding military funerals here, including some of the bigger names in M/Cs. Not people to be messed with. Funny you mention Coors and Black Velvet. Never was aboard a boat for any reason other than tours in port but did take a ride on a carrier once. Thanks to you and your family for your post and service!
