My brother is taking a masters degree in photography at University. Some of his stuff sucks IMO and some doesn't.

Different from what's normally here. Doubt if he would ecer earn shooting what I have. LOL

He was a top exec at a Fortune 500 company and retired on pension now so doesn't have to bother. Taking the Masters Degree course for his own pleasure.

He has a long...looooooong way to go.

Well he already got his degree in Photography and now going for his Masters. So I guess he's doing something right.

Not sure I would bad talk my sister's efforts on a public board regardless of what they looked like.

you can get a degree in anything, it does not mean, you know how to put it in practice, or have an eye for photography:2 cents:

Those does indeed suck. I can shoot stuff that is 10 times better and I still don't consider myself any good.

You are posting these out of context. It's not fair to judge unless we know the extent of the assignment. I would imagine they are studies for a conceptual piece or for a larger assignment.

Perhaps these photos are for an assignment. I'm currently doing an advanced b&w darkroom class at my local college, and the first photo posted looks like it was shot for an assignment that I'm working on--shooting a photo with a wide open aperture and very narrow depth of field.

Yes that was my thoughts.I would assume a master degree in photog would be on more of the art of photography.
