On the subject of .tv, how about .mobi.

Yes....There is a ".com" button on my iphone...No .net, .org, etc on there.

.mobi sucks, it's meant for mobile devices but one extra character to type?

My credit union forwards me to a .mobi site if I visit from my phone, that's the only one I've ever used.

IMHO .mobi sucks and is pretty pointless, especially now with phones that have actual browsers these days.

.mobi's problem was that it was reliant on mobile technology NOT moving forward. People didn't want a "mobile internet" - they wanted the internet on their mobile, plain and simple. Once that happened with iPhone etc., .mobi became absolutely useless.

mobi isn't needed but there is no reason why it can't be used. i own a few great mobi domains..i hope when the mobile web is more popular than the 'regular' one it will get more usage.
