The e-mail it came with.

Hello,

Thank you so much for contacting ePassporte. Sorry for the inconvenience
of what you have been experiencing. ePassporte has specific procedures in
allowing our account holders to receive their funds properly. At this
time, you may withdraw funds from your Wallet through a wire disbursement
request (attached), or through your existing ePassporte Visa card.

In order to receive your Wallet balance, you may log into your account and
the first message shown on the page will be your current balance.

St. Kitts Bank has announced that Visa Cards have been reactivated and
funds are available to be withdrawn as of today. If you have funds on your
Virtual Visa Card, please use your Visa Electron Card at ATM.s or Points
of Sale Merchant locations. You can also use your Visa Virtual Card for
online purchases. If your card is not working or you require assistance
with the funds on your Visa Card, please contact SKNANB at
https://www.sknanb.com/message.htm.

We appreciate your patience and understanding,

ePassporte Wire Disbursement Department
The contact info to submit the form isn't what you think it is. So, don't spam [email protected]. And no, this is not a joke. I really did just get this email about an hour ago.

I believe you. With the amount of misery and pain caused by this situation, i don't believe anyone would lie about this.

Yea, on second look this is nothing new.

They are just saying to use your visa card for VV funds, or send a wire request for your wallet. Nothing new.

I don't get it. They are saying you can now withdraw the balance via our old cards without making internal transaction from wallet to card (which is obviously not available now)? Does my bad English failing me?

I'm also confused, it sounds like they give you the option to get the money wired OR get it send to your Visa card

You are reading it incorrectly.

- VV is available via your card, check out SKNAB for more information on those funds.
- ePass wallet funds are available to be sent to you via a wire.

SallyRand 10-15-2010 06:24 PM

And they got that whole SSN/EIN/TIN thing goin'.

Offshore people are going to LOVE this one!

Good luck without any of the aforementioned. If you in the USA you can have an SSN. If you have a corporation the USA you can have an EIN. If you are offshore, you must have a TIN(ITIN) and it is currently taking about six months to get a TIN(ITIN).

http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/...=96696,00.html

"ITIN

An ITIN, or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, is a tax processing number only available for CERTAIN nonresident and resident aliens, their spouses, and dependents who cannot get a Social Security Number (SSN). It is a 9-digit number, beginning with the number "9", formatted like an SSN (NNN-NN-NNNN).

To obtain an ITIN, you must complete IRS Form W-7, IRS Application for Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (PDF) . The Form W-7 requires documentation substantiating foreign/alien status and true identity for each individual. You may either mail the documentation, along with the Form W-7, to the address shown in the Form W-7 Instructions, present it at IRS walk-in offices, or process your application through an Acceptance Agent authorized by the IRS. Form W-7(SP), Solicitud de Número de Identificación Personal del Contribuyente del Servicio de Impuestos Internos (PDF) is available for use by Spanish speakers.

Acceptance Agents are entities (colleges, financial institutions, accounting firms, etc.) who are authorized by the IRS to assist applicants in obtaining ITINs. They review the applicant's documentation and forward the completed Form W-7 to IRS for processing.

Foreign persons who are individuals should apply for a social security number (SSN, if permitted) on Form SS-5 with the Social Security Administration, or should apply for an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) on Form W-7. Effective immediately, each ITIN applicant must now:

*
Apply using the revised Form W-7, Application for IRS Individual Taxpayer Identification Number; and
*
Attach a federal income tax return to the Form W-7.

Applicants who meet an exception to the requirement to file a tax return (see the instructions for Form W-7) must provide documentation to support the exception.

New W-7/ITIN rules were issued on December 17, 2003. For a summary of those rules, please see the new Form W-7 and its instructions."

More details here:

http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/...=96690,00.html

"lien taxpayers who need an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) may be able to secure one from outside the United States.

The IRS has permanent staff available which are able to help process Forms W-7, IRS Application Number (PDF) at the following U.S. embassies overseas: Beijing, Frankfurt, London, and Paris. The addresses and phone numbers of these overseas offices may be found at Contact My Local Office Internationally. In addition, there are public accounting firms overseas in certain countries which are Authorized Acceptance Agents for ITIN numbers. You will find their names and addresses at the Acceptance Agent Program page.

The IRS also accepts a Form W-7 by mail accompanied by ORIGINAL documents which establish:

1. the identity of the foreign person, and
2. the foreign status of the ITIN applicant.

There are 13 documents that can be used to prove foreign status and identity. A foreign passport is the only one that can stand alone (i.e., establishes both foreign status and identity). If a passport is submitted, there is no need to submit any other documents. If a passport is not submitted, a combination of at least two other documents, with at least one containing a photograph, must be submitted with the ITIN application. The IRS will accept copies of original documents, if the copies have been properly certified or notorized by:

1. the government agency (foreign or domestic) which issued the documents,
2. employees of the U.S. State Department located in U.S. embassies and consulates abroad, or
3. a U.S. notary public who is allowed under U.S. state law to notarize foreign documents.

It is strongly recommended that, if possible, authorized "copies" of documents be sent in lieu of "originals"

And that is just the START of the process!

Read it and weep!

ladida 10-15-2010 06:35 PM

Nothing here.

But my guess would be that all those that already wired documents/wire form would not get asked again. I at least hope so.

Phoenix66 10-15-2010 06:40 PM

Now I'm starting to get it. They are not crooks, they are just plain stupid. It was clear all along that epass guys are not bright except for Michael, but I did not know they are that not bright...

Yeah, but then they say:

"If you have funds on your Virtual Visa Card, please use your Visa Electron Card at ATM.s or Points of Sale Merchant locations."

So the card is for the VV funds only (through SKNANB).

Cradle 10-15-2010 07:16 PM

Well yeah.. wallet to VV.. then withdraw using your card as opposed to a wire for the wallet money..

But who the hell knows.. No one else has got the email... And how would epass now all of a sudden be able to access the VV.

Hermes 10-16-2010 12:57 AM

Mad editing skillz.

I wonder though why they'd start with "Thank you so much for contacting ePassporte." or involve visa card in it. :error

butcherboy 10-16-2010 01:22 AM

For me this is just time getting procedure...
What about already approved wire request since beginning of Sep?!
Why should we send another wire request if old one is already approved?

why the hell you blurred epass e-mail address?
upload the shit to rapidshare and we can email them.

Davy 10-16-2010 04:20 AM

There's no reason to give them the virtual VISA number if you are just requesting a wire.
Your account ID is enough.

What is this document management system they speak of?

The Adobe Document Management System provides a form which is held on the ePassporte server and is not downloadable, except for the single copy available for your personal records. These forms are not downloaded, filled out and then returned as has been done in the past with many other types of forms. Simply printing a copy of the blank for, filling it out and then emailing the from to ePassporte will not work. The secure form is held on the ePassporte server and after the member fills out the form, it is updated on the ePass server but the member can print a copy, as I wrote earlier.

The Adobe Document Management System was first offered in 2004 and is rapidly becoming an industry standard,

nexus868 10-16-2010 04:39 AM

What about people that sent wire request and got it approved ?

I have personal account and not business because i'm small webmaster and i don't ave any affiliate program... i stored some money on epassporte and used it to pay hosting and others service...

I hope also for us the end will be good !

SallyRand 10-16-2010 04:50 AM

Correction: In re-examining the form, I now realize that this form may be downloaded and emailed or faxed to ePassporte. Mea Culpa!
