What's the Best Kid Friendly Hotel on the Beach in Honolulu Hawaii?

I know a lot of live there and Vacation there.
Google brings up way too many options.

I've been to the other Islands, but I'm taking my mom and kids for the first time. Would like to find something on the beach and somewhere with a lot of Kids Activities.

This place looks nice, but It says 20 Minutes from Kona Airport.

We stayed at Hilton Hawaiian Village a few times when my parents took us as kids.

The Hilton Waikoloa is on the Big Island, (as is the Kona airport), Honolulu is on O'ahu. Different islands. If you are going to O'ahu, then just pick any hotel down around Waikiki Beach and you'll be fine. Personally, I like the Hyatt.

If you're going to the Big Island of Hawaii, then Waikoloa (Hilton) is perfect.

Hilton Hawaiin is pretty nice but you wanna get a tower that is closest to the beach. The Royal Hawaiin is great as well. My favorite though is the Halekulani.

Kona airport is on the big island...do you want a hotel in Oahu or the big island. To be honest, the big island is kinda boring. If you're not going to do Oahu, I'd do Kauai..after that Maui.

Ya but if you have kids best to get something beachfront. Don't want to have to walk through alleys and all kinds of traffic to get to the beach.

Dave that place is excellent for kids - depending on the age they will probably love to take the boat trips (which is the taxi basically from one place to another) within the resort. 20 minutes is not that bad as once you get there probably would not leave unless you want to go to the other side like Hilo or something.

First : Waikiki ain't really so great for kids in my opinion, but doable.

Here's a good choice :

Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel
2464 Kalakaua Avenue, Honolulu, Oahu, HI 96815

It's close to the zoo and the free movie and 200 feet from the water.

Anything in the 2000+ block of Kalakaua Avenue is a good bet.

Stay away from SeaSide Ave and Kuhio if with kids. Too much explaining for you. LOL!

PS: when out by yourself, if "she" is on the Ala Wai side of Kuhio Ave then it's a man.

LOL!

I agree that the Hilton Hawaiian Village is good for kids. However I think the Sheraton is VERY kid friendly - plus its next to the Westin/Moana Surfrider which is my personal fave.
