Does any one have a problem with Phatservers/AmeriNOC Email Servers?
It looks like their shared servers have banned IPs addresses. All my emails I try to send either bounce back or go straight to spam box. I've asked them about the problem by opening a support ticket but not got any solution other that they said it should stop with time. They told me that they are aware of the problem and it's because I'm on shared server and Gmail and Hotmail temporary banned the IP. After I told them that I really need to have an ability to send emails the support told me that they've just found Gmail's form and submitted the info to release this banned IP from the blacklist. But the problem seems to be not only with Gmail. Emails bounce also from other email services including privately hosted with other hosting providers. I am not sure what to do with this problem? My website is basically dead without the ability to send email messages in the right way. Should I move my site elsewhere to have dedicated IP address for the email service and to avoid my website being blacklisted or something?

I had the same exact problem... it went away on it's own after a couple years. Was not happy but had little choice.

You don't HAVE to use the same server or even the same host for your e-mail. You can change the MX DNS record to point your mail server any where you want. If you rely on mail you might want to go with an email host, especially if you do newsletters and other regular mailing.
Email on Phatservers shared boxes is pretty dismal, IMO. I've had lots of problems. I once went for days with no email to one of my accounts there, as their mail server was simply bouncing everything back to sender. |

I would not jump to conclusions with AmeriNoc, they are good and this problem is a common issue on shared servers. I am a competitor, yes, but I must say that all it takes is one bad apple on a shared server to disturb the peace in ip reputation. Get your own ip from them or buy a dedicated box to keep away from others.

They will figure it out....PS is good like that. I've got dedicated machines with my own mail server on it with them. I recommend you fork up the cash, get a dedi box, mail server... dish out some extra money and stop having the issue you're having.

just ask for new ips, problem solved

The only thing that have pissed me off is that my email still doesn't deliver messages and now it even has even problems with receiving messages and that they have done nothing about it since I've emailed them 3 times. __________________ :thumbsup |
