Starbucks. What's it cost where you are?

Grande Cappucino in the UK is £2.50 (about $4.00) which seems like quite a lot.

How do we compare?

_Richard_ 10-15-2010 08:52 AM

about right actually, their fancy drinks are 3-5 here, drip is 2

RyuLion 10-15-2010 08:52 AM

Venti House coffee: $2

Grande coffee in L.A. $1.95

Grande coffee in Dubai 19 dhs/approx $5.00 US

(they used to be comparable, but on a recent trip the price had gone up steeply).

prices at stores dont really fluctuate much that ive seen. rather, if your at the airport or a stand at the mall, ive seen a dollar or so difference in price.

fuck, McDonalds at LAX is probably the most expensive one I've ever seen

Ouch. I think I once paid over $100 for a pizza and a beer in Copenhagen. It is the one country I've ever visited that felt expensive.

xarizmendi 10-15-2010 01:59 PM

Its around 2 bucks in here as well, 3.50 at the airport though

Pretty_Lara 10-15-2010 02:04 PM

v4 media 10-16-2010 12:54 AM

No idea never been in one, as every bar here does a perfect expresso for less than $1

loreen 10-16-2010 01:33 AM

An espresso is $2.

Konkan 10-16-2010 02:32 AM

first question: Is there starbucks in Italy? Of course no. They cannot beat Italian quality for espresso. I don`t like starbucks, taste of their coffee sucks. There are hundreds of coffee brands that are way much better than starbucks so I don`t bother mysef going there :Oh crap

closer 10-16-2010 03:29 AM

regular coffee €3.20 / $4.50

True, I'd go with Illy stuff anytime.

That's only $3 for shipping, was it still hot?

AdultKing 10-16-2010 04:15 AM

Going to Starbucks in Australia is opportunity cost. It costs you the opportunity to have a better coffee elsewhere!

Davy 10-16-2010 04:15 AM

Sorry, I;ve never been to a Starbucks in my life. There is absolutely no reason to go there and pay for extremely overpriced coffee.

candyflip 10-16-2010 05:55 AM

I get the biggest Tazo Chai latte and I think it's around $3.79

justinsain 10-16-2010 06:33 AM

I've never been to Starbucks because I don't drink coffee :)

Klen 10-16-2010 08:23 AM

I never ordered it and never will, but i heard it cost 4$ here.

Black All Through 10-16-2010 08:49 AM

$4.50 in Orlando

fuzebox 10-16-2010 08:53 AM

When I was in europe a few weeks ago I ended up hitting Starbucks a few times... I couldn't help myself, even when I order a cafe americano at most cafes, it's way smaller than I require to wake up in the morning... I'm a venti kind of guy, and the overpriced Starbucks were the only places that would serve me a decent amount of coffee in one serving.

GAMEFINEST 10-16-2010 09:35 AM

its more expensive in california

beerptrol 10-16-2010 10:34 AM

been there once and never again $4.00 for a damn cup of coffee! I just go to the local gas station and get a big cup of french vaniila for 79c, and it tastes good.
