BAM! Something's gone wrong

Yahoo.com, the second-place (third, now, with Bing in the running?) search engine that touts itself as "the world's most visited homepage" went down around 2:15 p.m. PDT on Thursday, October 14.

Any attempt to access the website currently results in a several-minute load time with an ultimate "Connection Timed Out" message (another attempt gave me this message: "internal error - server connection terminated"). It looks like it's only the front page and search engine that are down, however, as Yahoo! Mail (mail.yahoo.com), Yahoo! Answers (answers.yahoo.com), and Yahoo! Games (games.yahoo.com) are all still loading, albeit slowly.

saw that a bit ago, i got a server hang up message. heads are going to roll.

Haha yea. I wonder if its in part due to the MSN AdCenter integration.

Oh god how I hate the AdCenter interface.

Was down for me at 4:30pm central time. But at 5:00 pm Central it is up and running..

Dam I was thinking 2012 got here early..Laughing!!
