I need to learn Italian...
Went to Italy about 2 years ago and knew barely enough to get by... and was an embarrassment most of the time when I sounded like I had a speech impediment or turrets.
I talked to a few people and they recommend things like Rosetta Stone, but they are limited to text book learning and the best thing is to actually communicate with people who speak the language so you can pick up on the dialog. Sad part is there is no Italian culture where I am from, maybe a few pizza shops but thats about it. Anyone who learned a language, particularly Italian have any recommendations? Id like to check out a few Italian forums to post in to start to learn, but cant go to a country with a speak and spell... |
I always get amazed at people who can speak a few languages pretty well.
Being Scottish, i hardly speak English properly... :1orglaugh |
